MANCHESTER LAW SOCIETY’S BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CPD EVENTS

CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
– Attendance at the event will be confirmed via email
– Delegates should contact Manchester Law Society if they have not received confirmation of their booking within 7 days.
– Delegates MUST provide a valid email address with their booking, as joining instructions and other important information will be sent via email.
– Unless otherwise requested delegates’ names and firms will circulated to attendees and exhibitors.
– Receipt of a written request for a place at an event is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.

PAYMENT TERMS
– Payment must be made within 7 days of receiving your invoice
– If you book less than 7 days before the event payment must made at the time of booking
– If payment is not received before the event you may be refused entry

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
– Please inform us of any special requirements, ie. dietary or access by contacting [email protected]

CANCELLATION
– Cancellations received more than 14 days prior to the event will receive a full refund minus an administration charge which will be
– Full Day Conference – £30 + VAT
– Half Day Conference – £20 + VAT
– Breakfast or Early Evening Seminar – £10 + VAT
– Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will be charge 100% cancellation fee
– Replacement delegates are welcome at any time.

– The Manchester Law Society reserves the right to cancel any event. In this case, the full fee will be refunded unless a mutually convenient transfer can be arranged. In the event that the Society postpones an event for any reason and the delegate is unable or unwilling to attend on the rescheduled date, they will receive a full refund of the fee paid or credit note.  Credit notes will be valid for six months from date of issue.

– The Society is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of an event, this includes travel and accommodation expenses. The Society shall assume no liability whatsoever if this event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this conference impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather or other emergency.

– Please note that while speakers and topics were confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, the Society reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the event’s webpage as soon as possible.

LIABILITY
– The organisers do not accept liability for any injuries or losses of any nature incurred by delegates and/or accompanying persons, nor for loss or damage to their luggage and/or personal belongings.

CPD ACCREDITATION
– Continuing Professional Development Hours may be claimed from Manchester Law Society as the accredited course provider by signing the CPD register available at registration prior to the commencement of each seminar

– Professionals Dinner Club – £10 + VAT per ticket
– Legal Awards Dinner – £30 + VAT per ticket
– Any Other Social Event – £10 + VAT per ticket
– Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will be charge 100% cancellation fee.
– Replacement attendees are welcome at any time.
