Champagne & Oyster Tasting Evening

  • When: June 19, 2018 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
  • Where: RANDALL & AUBIN MANCHESTER, 64 Bridge Street, Manchester, M3 3BN
  • Summary: Why not seize the opportunity to taste and explore the decadent world of oysters and Champagne at Manchester Law Society’s Champagne & Oyster Tasting Evening held in association with Randall & Aubin Manchester?!
  • Details:

Randall & Aubin’s seafood specialist will talk guests through three of Randall & Aubin’s most popular oysters explaining the provenance and sustainability of each.

Our guest expert from Hallgarten Druitt & Novum Wines will contrast and compare the matching of three classic Champagnes from small family estates, naturally handmade in the ancient and artisan method.  A Blanc de Blancs, a Blanc de Noirs and a most rare Vintage Champagne, made of all six legal varieties of grape.

Find the contrast from the Champagne to the marine sea salt essence of oysters from three different areas – Jersey Rock Oysters from the Royal Bay of Grouville, French Prestige Speciales de Claire Rock Oysters from Marennes D’Oleron and Irish Carlingford Lough Rock Oysters from County.

We are delighted to be holding this event with our friends at Randall & Aubin Manchester – our favourite Anglo-French brasserie – famous for their sumptuous menu of British seafood and meat dishes this is the place to go for delicious food, the best ingredients, and a fabulous dining experience.

Randall & Aubin was established in Soho, London, as a butchers in 1911, selling only the best produce and very quickly becoming one of the finest shops in town. For the past 20 years, the celebrated and much loved restaurant has continued in that same tradition of excellence, serving the freshest seafood and mouthwatering rotisserie meats, with premium ingredients from carefully chosen and local suppliers where possible.

After an international search, the co-founders, renowned Chef Ed Baines and restauranteur Jamie Poulton, felt Manchester was, without doubt, the perfect place for their new home. The positivity and entrepreneurial energy of the city, the warmth of the community, the culinary passion and the enthusiasm for a great night out perfectly embodies the spirit of Randall & Aubin.

Ed believes that great food is about great cooking with nowhere to hide and the approach to dining at Randall & Aubin is ‘everything for everyone’ and we hope you can join us to try it out for yourself!

We hope you can join us for what we are sure will be a really enjoyable experience!
