Annual Manchester Lawyers Carol Service

  • 14/11/2019

The annual Lawyers Christmas Carol Service will be held at St Ann’s Church, St Ann’s Square Manchester on Thursday 19th December 2019 at 1.15 pm.

As in past years, the Thursday Singers, an auditioned chamber choir drawn from Withington Girls School, Manchester High School for Girls and The Manchester Grammar School, will lead the singing. They have a deservedly excellent reputation.

This is an opportunity corporately to celebrate the spirit of Christmas in the context of uplifting music and in a beautiful building.

In this time of economic uncertainty and when there are many pressures assailing the legal profession this event can be relied on to deliver a boost to morale.

All members of the judiciary and of the legal profession and their families and friends are invited to attend this wonderful occasion.

Whether you are a practising Christian, a cultural Christian, agnostic, atheist or a member of another faith, you will be made very welcome.

Our guest readers this year include His Honour Judge David Stockdale QC – Honorary Recorder of Manchester, Michael Hayton QC – Leader of the Northern Circuit, Matt Taylor – President of Manchester Law Society and Larry Collier – Chair of the Manchester Bench.

There will be a collection which is divided between St Ann’s Church and The Solicitors Charity.
