Update on Civil Reforms Meeting with Mr Justice Briss and His Honour Judge Pearce

We are pleased to announce our latest judicial event, update on Civil Reforms Meeting with Mr Justice Briss and His Honour Judge Pearce

There are currently a number of reform projects underway relating to civil justice. As a member of the Civil Procedure Rules Committee Mr Justice Birss will provide an update on those projects, listen to feedback and answer questions about them.  The topics include online civil money claims, disclosure, capped costs, an IPEC small claims track outside London, and electronic spreadsheets for summary costs assessment.

This event, open to all members, is kindly being hosted by TLT LLP, 3 Hardman Square, Manchester, M3 3EB and is FREE OF CHARGE but numbers are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Taking place on Thursday, 19th September the meeting agenda is as follows:

12.15 – 12.30pm Registration & Refreshments

12.30pm Introduction by Jon Hainey, Chair,  Manchester Law Society Civil Litigation Committee

12.35 – 1.05 pm Mr Justice Briss

*There will be time during Mr Justice Briss’s presentation for questions and answers and the meeting will be under Chatham House Rules.

1.05 – 1.10pm His Honour Judge Pearce

1.10pm  Close of meeting
