CRITICAL HOUR EVENTS – CALLING ALL DEFENCE PRACTITIONERS

HM COURTS AND TRIBUNAL SERVICES

The flow of work within the Manchester courthouse is an ongoing issue, courts are often unable to start at 10 am impacting on the length of the day for us all. Often what does or does not happen in the time before the court starts has a direct effect. Several agencies have been working closely to try and address the various causes of delay but it is timely in advance of the listing review to seek a cross section of views on how further improvements could be made.

You are therefore invited to attend a Critical Hour Event. These events are a joint initiative from HMCTS and CPS designed to connect multiple ideas and perspectives via group conversation which will then be used to influence future thinking.

The events are also a good opportunity to network with multiple Criminal Justice agencies and will be held in courtroom 8 at the Manchester courthouse on Friday 12th and Thursday 18th October 2018. There will be 2 sessions per date beginning at 10 am and 2 pm.
