BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN EDUCATION AND EMPLOYERS

  • 16/10/2017

The Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC), Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) are growing the Greater Manchester Enterprise Adviser Network and we need you!

The purpose of the Enterprise Adviser Network is to create meaningful and long-lasting connections between education and business. The Enterprise Adviser Network offers a number of exciting opportunities for schools and businesses to work collaboratively, to improve the quality of careers guidance in schools, ensuring young people are inspired and informed about their future study / career options and equipped with the skills needed to be successful in the workplace.

This is achieved through the recruitment of passionate Enterprise Advisers (EA); senior business volunteers drawn from the world of business, who will work strategically with the schools leadership team to develop a sustainable plan for careers guidance and employer engagement, helping to address the key barriers young people face when transitioning from education to the world of work.

Essentially, we are looking for Enterprise Advisers who have experience of strategic planning and are confident enough to support and challenge a schools senior management to drive careers education forward. The overarching characteristic needs to be someone who has a real interest in supporting schools and who wants to positively impact young people.
