Volunteering opportunity – The Matching Service

  • 04/11/2016

The Matching Service has been set up by the educational charity the Citizenship Foundation, partnering individual lawyers up with local schools to provide them with the opportunity to volunteer in the classroom and facilitate a one off, 1hr session with students about different areas of the law, from Social Media and the law to Intellectual Property. The programme aims to increase students’ knowledge of the law and for them to understand the relevance of the law in their everyday lives.

This programme is completely free to participate in, with the usual £10 admin fee being waived until 2017. Volunteers will receive:

  • Access to the SmartLaw website to find schools near you
  • Materials to run engaging sessions
  • Access to an online training video to prepare you for working with young people in a classroom environment.

If you are interested in taking part in the programme, or have any questions, please get do get in touch with Therri Tait.
