Hindu Lawyers Association – Launch of the HLA Guide for the Hindu Community

  • 10/02/2015

Over the past year the Hindu Lawyers Association UK (HLA), and particularly its Pro Bono Unit, has been working on the production of a booklet-format Guide for mandirs (temples), community groups and other organisations set up for the benefit of Hindu communities benefit throughout England & Wales.

The booklet has been compiled with a view to providing general guidance on the establishment and running of such organisations and their premises. HLA teams, made up of practicing professional lawyers (solicitors and Barristers) and students have found over time that common questions arise and some issues are frequently encountered about such community organisations. In a sense of civic duty and to help to avoid some oft seen pitfalls, the HLA has put together time and resources to prepare this document. We hope and trust it will serve that purpose admirably.

The Guide will be formally launched in the North West on 22 February 2015

The launch is made possible with the kind assistance of the Hindu Council of North UK, Hindu Forum Britain and the Indian Association Oldham, Schofield Street, Oldham, OLS 1QJ who have offered to host the event.

With thanks to the HFB, HCN and IAO, the HLA cordially invites you to attend the launch event (details as follow below).
