Made In Manchester Awards Judges Announced

High profile individuals from across the financial and professional sector have been recruited to the judging panel for the Made in Manchester Awards.

The Awards, which will be media partnered by MEN Media, will be held on the 7th February 2013 at the city’s Radisson Blu Edwardian and will celebrate the talent and success of the young professionals of Manchester. The Awards are aimed at rewarding excellence in innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, training and development and leadership.

Those signed up to date include Mike Magee, Partner at accountancy firm PwC, Fran Eccles Bech, Executive Director of Manchester Law Society, Paresh Majithia, Finance Director at Timpson Group, MEN Media’s Head of Business Adam Jupp, Corporate Finance Partner at KPMG Jonathan Boyers, The University of Manchester’s Assistant Director of Estates,  Steve Jordan, Rebecca Best, Chair person of the North West branch of RICS and Lucy Perkins, CEO of LDA — creating shared experiences, who are also brand partners for the event. Corporate Solicitor Donna Powell of law firm Gateley and the chair of future pro?manchester committee will also form part of the judging panel.

The panel will be tasked with choosing the finest young talent Manchester has to offer across a range of categories including accountancy, banking, corporate finance, business development, law, digital media and creative, property and talent and recruitment. Applicants will be put through a rigorous two stage process comprising a paper application followed by an interview with specialists within the applicable sector.

They will also choose the Manchester Champion which will recognise an outstanding individual who has made significant and tangible improvements to the Manchester cityscape or the lives of the City’s inhabitants.

Also recognised will be the Mentor of the Year aimed at an outstanding individual who has mentored and supported a colleague or colleagues in a less senior position to themselves in order to help them develop both personally and professionally.
The Chairman’s Rising Star award will be chosen from the winners of the professional services categories by Donna Powell and pro?manchester Chairman Paul Johnson.
