Mike will also show you how to personally move on from blame and bitterness so that you are able to manage and resolve conflict with a more proactive and positive mind-set.

    Conflict happens all the time in the workplace and continues to prove an increasing challenge for leaders and managers alike. From personality clashes and petty arguments, through to departmental friction and disputes, it’s never a nice place to be.

    • Perception Filters – How do others see you in conflict situations?
    • An introduction to ‘In and out of the box’ mentality. Do you live in it or out of it?
    • Identify the impact on conflict that living ‘in the box’ can have on you and the other party involved.
    • Justifying your behaviour and actions. Is it right or wrong? The consequences of self-justification.
    • Identify useful strategies to prevent your ‘allies’ from fuelling your justification.
    • Three practical steps to help you stay out of the box when handling conflict.
    • Understand 5 key conflict handling models and identify when it’s best to use each technique
    • Meet Sam the Silent Unresponsive, Eric the Exploder and Sally the Serial Complainer – Learn how manage the differing characters in your team
