The Great Legal Bake 2017
20th – 24th February (Wednesday 22nd February)
Every year in the cold bleakness the Great Legal Bake comes to brighten up the wintry days. All you need to take part is find one person (or more!) to do some baking and sell the goodies to raise vital funds for free legal advice in your area. Bake sales can be savoury or sweet (though both is best), large or small, and involve everyone in your multiple offices to just a small group of friends. Last year teams across the country raised over £20,000 for the provision of legal advice services to people most in need and unable to afford it ; the result of internal competitions, coffee mornings, afternoon teas and even a cake trolley. Funds raised will go to support local advice agencies and charities through the Access to Justice Foundation. We will provide you with a free fundraising pack including posters, flyers and other branded items which you can use to publicise your event. Remember, if you are…
- a legal advice agency you can raise the funds for your agency by signing up and telling us how much you raise.
- a law firm or chambers you can raise 50% for your favourite legal advice charity and 50% for NWLST by telling us which partner agency you want to raise for.
We hope most law firms and chambers will allow 100% to go to NWLST as those funds are strategically targeted at agencies most in need (and there are a lot of those!)
