Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer set to move to Manchester

Cadbury moved from Mayfair to Uxbridge, Unilever swapped Blackfriars for Leatherhead and a magic circle law firm is considering upping sticks and sending some of its staff to Manchester in order to avoid sky high rents in the capital.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which has 1,300 staff in Britain and whose headquarters have been a 230,000 sq ft office on Fleet Street since 1989, has hired Knight Frank to look for 100,000 sq ft in Manchester city centre.
