This means our customers benefit from receiving legally defensible analysis results and Expert Reports within 5 working days of us receiving the hair sample at our UK laboratory.
1. Lextox test results and reports are issued by the same industry leading scientists responsible for overseeing the analysis of the hair sample at our UK laboratory.
Our Laboratory Director, Dr Robert Kingston, has developed UKAS accredited methods for the detection of drugs and alcohol markers in hair that have been used in family law cases and child care proceedings presented at law courts across the UK for the past 10 years.
He participates in the Society of Hair Testing (SoHT) meetings to discuss and contribute to the international consensuses for the detection of drugs and alcohol in hair.
2. Lextox is UK accredited to ISO 17025 UKAS standards for hair drug and alcohol testing.
Lextox is accredited to test for a wide range of drugs in hair and is the first independent UK owned laboratory that has attained UKAS ISO 17025 accreditation for hair alcohol testing. Lextox works to right first time quality assurance procedures to minimise delays and ensure reliability.
3. Lextox laboratory analysis and reports are in accordance with the Society of Hair Testing Consensus.
Our experts are members of the Society of Hair Testing, an independent international body which provides guidance on appropriate analysis techniques for the detection of drugs and alcohol in hair. By complying with the Society of Hair Testing consensus, Lextox is providing hair analysis within internationally agreed recommendations.
4. Our collectors are trained to ensure the scalp end of the hair sample is placed correctly in the Chain of Custody Kit, in view of the donor and witness.
All of our collectors are trained healthcare professionals who follow strict chain of custody procedures to ensure the sample integrity and correct placement of the sample is maintained. The sample collection process is integral to ensuring the correct analysis is performed and as such it is imperative that the sample is collected by trained professionals who are aware of the significance of this process.
5. Our laboratory staff are fully trained and qualified to identify inappropriate samples.
All of our laboratory staff are scientifically educated and are skilled in identifying flawed sample submissions. We notify our customers immediately if there are any factors that could affect the sample analysis that has been requested. This ensures that our customers are kept updated on the progress of the sample analysis and prevents any analysis surprises once the results are issued.
